Planning a special gathering can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! Here is where I’ll be updating my favorite holiday and celebration menus as I add them—starting with just one for now. Whether it’s Thanksgiving dinner, a summer barbecue, or a fun birthday celebration, I hope these menu ideas will help you plan delicious, memorable meals to share with the people you love.
🎇 4th of July 2025 Menu 🇺🇸
This year’s 4th of July was super simple and exactly what we wanted: just us, good food, and plenty of swimming to beat the heat. We didn’t go overboard on the menu—just a few summer classics and easy favorites that kept everyone happy (and out of the kitchen).
Here’s what we had:
🌭 Hot Dogs + Buns – Because you have to on the 4th. We kept it classic with hot dogs off the grill, buns on the side, and all the toppings ready so everyone could build their own.
🥔 Chimichurri Potato Salad – A fun little twist on the usual. I skipped the mayo and tossed the potatoes with the premade chimichurri from Trader Joe’s. So easy and packed with herby, garlicky goodness.
🍈 Sliced Melon – Cold, juicy, and no fuss at all. Just sliced it up and put it out for everyone to grab between swims.
🍋 Lemon Bars – Kyle gets all the credit here. He made these, and they were a hit. Tart, sweet, buttery, and just the best summer dessert.
🥔 Bonus Chips – Chris may have snuck out to the store to add some chips to the menu. Not planned, but no complaints. Perfect salty crunch between dips in the pool.
It was the kind of low-key 4th I love most: easy food, lots of swimming, and nothing to worry about except reapplying sunscreen. Hope your day was just as good!
