Chicken Wings

Baked Chicken Wings
Baked chicken wings are a healthier take on the classic bar snack. The wings are seasoned and baked until crispy in the oven, eliminating the need for frying. Once cooked, they can be tossed in your favorite seasonings or sauces. Choose from the classic Buffalo style, honey chili lime, or garlic parmesan. These wings are perfect for game days, parties, or anytime you crave a spicy, flavorful snack!
Equipment
- 2 gallon-sized plastic zipper bag
- 2 large baking pans lined with foil for easier cleanup
- 2 wire rack to fit inside the large baking pan
Ingredients
- 4 lbs chicken wings about 32 small pieces
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp pepper
Buffalo Sauce with Blue Cheese Dip
- ½ cup Franks Hot Sauce
- ¼ cup butter
- ½ cup blue cheese dip
Honey Chili Lime Sauce
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- juice from 1 lime
- 2 tsp hot sauce
Garlic Parmesan
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Add the wings and all of the rub ingredients to the large plastic bag. Shake to coat. Store in fridge for later or place on wire rack to bake.
- Preheat oven to 400℉. Line baking sheet with foil. Place wire rack on top. Spray the rack with non-stick spray.
- Bake wings for 45-50 minutes at 400℉. Optional to broil at the end for extra crispiness, but not necessary.
Buffalo Sauce
- Melt butter in a small pot on the stovetop. Add Franks hot sauce and mix. Coat wings in sauce and serve with blue cheese dip.
Honey Chili Lime Sauce
- Melt butter in a small pot on the stovetop. Add honey, lime juice, hot sauce and mix. Coat wings in sauce and serve.
Garlic Parmesan
- Mix melted butter, garlic and parmesan in a large mixing bowl. Add chicken to coat. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm.
