Beefy Protein Pasta

- 8 oz box of Banza Penne Pasta
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 onion, diced optional
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 24 oz jar of tomato sauce
- 4 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
Bring a medium pot of water to a boil.
Preheat a large pot on the stovetop over medium heat. Add tbsp of olive oil and saute the diced onions for 5 minutes. Add the ground beef and chop up with a wooden spoon. Season with salt, pepper and 1 tbsp of Italian seasoning.
Once the beef is no longer pink, add the jar of tomato sauce and simmer for 10-20 minutes while the pasta cooks.
Cook the pasta in the boiling water according to package directions. Once cooked, drain and add to pasta sauce.
For meal prep, divide into 4 containers. Top each dish with a tbsp of grated parmesan cheese or other italian cheese. Enjoy!
