Cream Cheese Frosting

This Cream Cheese Frosting is a recipe I have been making for more than 25 years, and it is still the one I reach for every time. It is smooth, creamy, and perfectly sweet with that classic tangy flavor. I especially love it on my carrot cake, but I have also used it on birthday cakes, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and every kind of holiday bake. It comes together in just a few minutes with simple ingredients, and it always turns out soft and spreadable. When you need a reliable frosting that tastes amazing and never feels fussy, this is it. After all these years, it is still my favorite.
For the vanilla, I always reach for the vanilla bean paste. However, some people prefer their frosting to look bright white. If you prefer a bright white vanilla, then you can use a Clear Vanilla. This isn’t sold in every grocery store, but can be ordered online.
